(SOURCE) DJ Fatboy Slim played a secret gig to babies and toddlers at a rave organised in his home city of Brighton.
The musician, real name Norman Cook, who had hits with “Right Here Right Now” and “Praise You” played a two-hour set on Sunday to 0 to five-year-olds.
The gig was at a beach party called Baby Loves Disco, which was part of the ongoing Brighton Fringe Festival.
Ahh showbusiness. One day you’re the hottest DJ in the world, and the next? The next you’re playing a rave for 5 year olds. This sounds like my absolute worst nightmare. What are the 2 worst things in the world? Toddlers and raves. So let’s pack a bunch of toddlers into a confined space with a bunch of balloons, turn loose a DJ and see what happens. I think when I end up in hell that this is going to be what it’s like, just me in a FatBoy Slim rave with a bunch of screaming children. The only difference is that in my personal hell, Bob Costas and Chris Berman are co-DJing and their set is just them talking to each other for eternity.
I’m not going to lie, Fatboy Slim had that place rocking. I don’t care who the crowd is, when Eat, Sleep, Rave Repeat starts bumping, you can’t help but get to dancing. Fatboy Slim has still got it. He might be reduced to performing his hit singles for toddler, but god damn can that man move a crowd.
